Bio: Guy Cooksey
Guy K. Cooksey is Of Counsel at McGarvey PLLC. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants for over 18 years in numerous cases. He has significant trial and appellate experience. Guy is always mindful of every client's unique needs and circumstances. Accordingly, he believes in working closely with each client to develop an individualized, cost-effective strategy. Guy believes in thoroughly understanding the applicable law and developing the facts of the case with an eye to telling a compelling story at trial.
Guy's experience enables him to analyze, synthesize, and try a broad range of cases. He has helped his clients with disputes related to: Oil and Gas, commercial contracts, business torts, trade secrets, trademarks and other intellectual property, product liability, professional malpractice, partnerships and close companies, fraudulent transfers, and deceptive consumer practices.
Guy is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In his spare time, Guy studies ancient and military history, canoes Texas rivers, hikes, and lifts weights as well as spending time with his four children and friends.
